The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security describes Golden Residency categories for investors, entrepreneurs and specified exceptional talents or contributors. Official UAE materials also address outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes.

Category-specific checks

Each category has separate evidence and approval conditions. Property and public-investment cases should be checked against the live ICP service criteria, including how ownership, financing and any mortgage are evidenced. Student and graduate cases should be checked for the applicable institution, academic result, graduation-date and endorsement requirements. This guide does not reproduce category thresholds while the official pages present differing or abbreviated criteria.

Family position

Official materials describe family residence benefits, but the qualifying family members, supporting evidence and validity consequences should be confirmed for the main applicant's category in the live ICP service before an application is planned.

Duration and timing

Current official pages are not consistent in describing whether duration is uniformly ten years or category-specific at five or ten years. This discrepancy requires legal source review before a duration is stated as definitive. The former two-to-four-week processing promise has been removed because no current ICP service standard supporting it was identified.
